Link Go Programmes

Hello,

we (Technical College of Furtwangen, Department of Computer Science)
want to implement a go programme.
Our question is how to link two go programmes over the net?
What about the Go Modem Protocol?
Is it common to use it in the net or only over RS232?
And are there any Server where we could test our programme?
