i made a version of this in java. its at
http://home.pacbell.net/rtayek/ray/go/index.html - this is a beta. if
anyone finds a bug please let me know. i have some blank final variables
and some of the compilers don't like these, so you may have to remove a
couple of 'final's to get a clean compile.
