OpenGo Location

As far as my baseline C++ code goes, I'll be the central site for this. It will
be at
    http://www.concentric.net/~jgberg
and follow the links down... Currently under Software Research is a "source
code" section which is empty. I'll make it an "OpenGo" url asap. The location
may change as I acquire a new domain name.

I'm planning on putting up the code by next weekend, Sept. 26 or 27. I'm going
to release it under GPL and perhaps limit it's commercial use. Code will be
copyright protected ala linux to it's owners / contributors. I will be the
clearing house for code changes. I will play the editor, as well as a
contributing author. Some of the posts referred to the Linux success as being
based on "Release early and release often"... I think it good advice for this
effort.

The purpose of the code at this time is to lower the entry fee for go
programming. As I have noted earlier, the code is not 100% robust -- I expect
to benefit from the participants' fixes, modifications, and enchancements. I
and co-contributors expect to be credited when this scheme is used in your/our
Go efforts.

I expect this thing to evolve. There are suggestions about different kinds of
objects that would be useful to programmers: move suggestors, canned
proof-number search engines, etc. etc. These may or may not be appropriate to
OpenGo -- in a sense, they are beyond it's current purpose. We can play those
out on the go mailing list. Having the code out will be a basis for
discussion/work.
