My Go program can play on ANY size board - just not very well !!
Seriously though, tactical play is the same on any board size - but
strategic play is VERY dependent on board size. There is no way that a
wall along the 5th line can be handled in the same way on a 19x19 as on
a 13x13. And I think it is very hard to be able to handle the position
evaluation of this sort of thing so that it all comes out in the wash -
so to speak.
More specifically - your 19x19 Fuseki moves and Joseki libraries are
useless on any other board size. So you would have to build these thing
in for each board size that you want to handle properly, and I for one
do NOT intend to build into my program 11x11 Fuseki or Joseki moves :- !
Although, for a small consideration :-)
