RE: computer-go: reading vs statical eval



I'm quite sure that handtalk does some tactical reading.  Besides, regardless of its rank among programs it doesn't play go well.

   As far as I know, one of the strongest computer Go programs, Handtalk, is 
not based on read-ahead but just on statical evaluation.
