If all participants were required to use some commonly available tools, and
submit full source code, to be compiled on site by impartial referees, and
run by them, and afterwards publicly scrutinized by all competitors, then
maybe we could rest assured that it would be a bit harder to cheat. This
would not prove anything, but would make the tournament much easier to run,
as there wouldn't be so many participants (maybe only GnuGo, it is Open
Source anyway ;-)
