computer-go: 9x9-Tournament´00/Osnabrück

Hi everyone,

since last year I am organizing private Computer-Go-Tounaments
on my personal home computers.

I began following to the three official tournaments last summer
( - american championship in Denver on August 6th
  - european championship in Berlin Strausberg on August 9th
  - mind sports olympiade in London on August 21st/22nd )
running a first 9x9-Go tournament.

My aim was to compare some of the programs that participated on these
tournaments with some other well known/ publicly available programs.

I knew that GOEMATE isn´t HANDTALK
and THE MANY FACES OF GO in Denver was a newer version than my MFGo v10 -
but I was present in Berlin and very happy to get the newest versions
of GO-AHEAD and TS-GO from their authors for my tournaments and
I was very happy too that Bruno Bouzy sent me his July-version of INDIGO!

The other programs that participated are available on internet
as full versions (AYA, TURBO-GO)
or as (9x9-)demos (IGOWIN, WULU, GOLIATH, EZ-GO).

Links to these programs/ go-software can be found on the
British Go Association - pages by Nick Wedd:
(free/ shareware) http//www.britgo.org/gopcres/gopcres1.html
(commercial) http//www.britgo.org/gopcres/playit.html

You can find the results (and download all the games) of my first
9x9-CGoTournament at the pages of the British Go Association, where
Nick Wedd is providing actual informations about Computer-Go-Tournaments:

1000 THANKS to Nick Wedd for his fantastic computer-go contributions:
his go-software catalogues, go-software reviews, list of the computer-go
tournaments with results and the new computer-go tournament calendar ...!
