Why do you think that they would comment so?
Because the program doesn't implement the rules correctly.

IMO, it is very interesting for programs to get the fundamentals
right first, e.g. scoring correctly.
I understand. I take a more pragmatic approach, of trying to make a strong program. Therefore
I spend my time fixing problems that make the program lose games. No as elegant an approach perhaps, but
I think it leads to a stronger program.
