computer-go: Position available: programmer/analyst with the GAMES group
The GAMES research group at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada
has an immediate opening for a full-time programmer/analyst. At least 50%
of the time will be spent on research projects in the domain of computer
Go. Further duties include work on other games- and search-related projects.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in computer science or comparable qualification. M.Sc. preferred.
- strong programming skills in C++/C or Java - provide sample code
- proven ability to complete medium - scale programming projects - provide
examples
- experience with game programming, AI search techniques, combinatorial
game theory or machine learning methods is a big plus
The position provides an opportunity to actively participate in our
research and publish, as well as a possibility to take courses at the
University of Alberta towards a MSc or PhD degree.
