They all look more or less artificial when fully enclosed. There are two simple problems as examples in the Import/Export window of the applet (click "Under the stones").
A nice fully enclosed problem is the "Diamond", but it is huge and takes quite a long time (~6 minutes IIRC).

I suppose Thomas has improved the support for unclosed positions, which means it works better but slower. :-(
