Re: computer-go: What language to experiment in?
Thanks to Todd and all others who have e-mailed me useful info.
All the responses basically made 2 points:
1. Use what you know best. It will be easier to concentrate on the go aspects
of the program.
2. Common Lisp and OCaml might be interesting languages to try.
Now, a slight clarification of my question.
In the back of my mind, I was intending to write the full program in C++.
What I'm looking for, is an interactive tool that will help me in the design
process. Something that would allow me to create a rapid-prototype, but
minimize my getting bogged down in the specifics of implementation (like static
types.) I'm mainly interested in fleshing out the objects and they way they
interact, to discover which objects are useful, needed or useless.
Thanks,
Ben Shoemaker.
