computer-go: Many Faces of Go 11.0 is available
The Many Faces of Go 11.0 is here! Low price upgrades until July 3rd!
It's been almost 5 years since version 10 was released, so
there are improvements in every aspect of the program, and many
new features.
The major new features of version 11 are:
* Stronger Go Engine. It's several stones stronger than version 10.
It won the world computer go championship in 1998 and finished
second in 2001. It's the 10 time US computer go champion.
* New and improved go problems. Now includes over 2000 go problems
for all levels of play. The program selects problems for you
according to how well you have solved previous problems.
Problems are shown in random orientations so it's like having
16,000 problems. Computer Solves Problem is much stronger, and
gives better explanations. You can update your go problems from
the Internet as I add new ones in the future. It's now easy
for you to add your own problems or problem sets.
* Built in Internet Go Server client so you can play on the Internet
using a familiar interface.
* Realistic sounds.
* Better game navigation and editing. Ctrl-click on a point to
go to a move. You can delete an entire variation branch with a
single command or promote a move to be the main line rather than
a variation. Mark all move numbers from a move to the end of the
game. Go to next comment or variation. Easier to add missing
moves.
* Improved graphics. Control the shape and contrast of the stones.
Rotate the go board. More hotkeys and shortcuts. Put move
numbers on every stone. Memorize the window status and location
for next time.
Other new features include:
* Game score graph plots a graph of the score against the move
number. Click to go to a position.
* Improved Joseki Library. Additional Joseki in the Joseki Tutor.
See move numbers in the Joseki Tutor and go to a move or the
end of a sequence. Play against the Joseki library.
* 7x7 and even board sizes.
* More professional games and over 1000 commented games from the
Go Teaching Ladder. Thousands of strong amateur games.
* File|Open and File|Save folders are remembered, along with 8
recent files.
* Improved Printing. Print games as a series of diagrams.
* And many more ...
The full price of The Many Faces of Go is $89.95, and full price
