It's not very strong.  

Since the program is "scalable",  we can roughly describe its strength
by indicating how  long it takes to achieve the  strength of some some
well known  reference program  set at some  fixed skill level.   I did
this test  with gnugo 3.0.0  (using the default settings)  which comes
with  the distribution of  Linux on  my machine.   

The bottom line,  is that I need the advantage of  the black pieces to
equalize with gnugo 3.0.0 and still  get a 9x9 game in within a couple
of hours at a very high  level setting for my program.  At this level,
gnugo only needs minutes so it's not very good by this measure.
