Well, I am not so much in touch with Gnu Go as I want to be.
Instead of out of date, I may be more guilty of thinking of a differnet
part of the engine, the tactical reading only. There we still use
trymove() and popgo(), which certainly seem to be pushing and popping
board state on a stack.
