Re: [computer-go] Tools for batch computer vs. computer play
Many programs support the older go modem protocol, that was used in many
tournaments,
but you need two computers and a null modem cable.
I don't think many programs play differently on faster machines. For
example, Many Faces has
10 levels, and level 10 plays the same moves no matter what machine you run
it on.

Hello,
I'm doing a survey of different go programs and how they perform depending
on how much processing power is made available to them. Are there any
tools out there for automatically playing computer players against each
other and collecting statistics? What computer go programs, except
GnuGo, are there that can be easily be used for this (i.e. have a command
line interface or similiar so that the process can easily be automated
with scripts)?
