RE: [computer-go] GTP and Tourney in SmartGo 1.4



XML as base for a communications protocol pays for my mortgage.

This XML argument gets resurrected on a frequent basis.  It boils down
to the fact that GMP/GTP already exists and are entrenched, i.e. the
people with the competitive programs already got it working and can't be
bothered to use XML.  I don't blame them; nor would anyone else who's
had to work on a standard.  The same argument applies to SGF.
