>First: Don't call me Dear Boy. Sorry I did not want to insult anyone. I had a funny meaning
in mind. Should have placed some .-) afterwards. I do not know if you are a
native-English speaker. If you are, you should keep in mind that for
non-native speakers words have a different meaning. There is less emotion
related with a foreign word.
I have worked at the European Space Agency. The working
language was English. If someone said "shit" you knew it was not very serious.
But if a Frenchman started to say "merde" or an Austrian/German "Scheisse",
there was a problem. ("Merde" and "Scheisse" are the direct French/German
translations of "shit"). It has for me a complete other meaning if I say
"Scheisse" or "Shit".
"Dear Boy" was therefore in my mind completly harmless. If its
not, sorry again.
Best Regards
Chrilly
