Insulting or not, I've read enough pre-1980 code to know that it is the
truth.
Pre-1980, plenty of programmers had heard of modular design, and of
objest-orientation (Smalltalk). Admittedly, much code was not
influenced by them. Indeed, I fear some still isn't.
