RE: [computer-go] Goodbye
This
list does have its limitations when it comes to content.
However, since you haven't really posted anything yourself that I found
particularly interesting or useful to read, I think nobody here will mind if
someone so full of himself will refrain from posting any more messages where the
obnoxiousness blots out any relevant point he tries to
make.
So
yes, please crawl back into the hole you came from. Good
riddance.

I
guess I have found yet another mailing list full of morons to
whom:
=>Psychology is definitely not their main strength (I don't try to
look important)
=>Being "appropriate" is everything
=>Every
sentence must begin with IMHO and end with a reference from a publication --
reasoning is strictly forbidden
=>Every point of view, no matter
how misinformed, is perfectly acceptable while any criticism, no matter how
valid, is unacceptable and obnoxious
=>Objectivity is a rather remote
concept, while being pragmatic and knowing what you're talking about is
unheard of
=>The point of most debate is purely
semantical
=>Putting email filters is the most appropriate response
to content they dislike, disagree or can't answer
Fine, I've seen
enough. I'll do as I usually do when I find such a list and don't feel like
destroying it: I'll recuse myself. I wish you to drown yourselves in your sea
of pointlessness and irrelevance, trying to make decent computer Go players
while not having an ounce of logic or mathematical background. I guess this is
only to make yourselves psychologically visible and thereby important
anyway.
Idiots.

All,
I have put on a mail filter for all mesages coming
from Martin Girard. I would suggest, if you do
not like the inappropriate
way he behaves in his responses, you add a filter for his messages
in
your E-mail client.
When you admonish or attempt to inhibit
Martin (like you are doing below), it actually gives him a
form of
feedback he actually wants. It makes him psychologically visible and thereby
important.
You are generating the desired response to his
(inappropriate) stimulus.
I think you will find if you avoid
admonishing him and you also filter out his E-mail, you will
discover far
less communication originating from him for TWO reasons! ;^)

Again: Read
back my previous post. Whenever you have the urge to reply
so
misinformed and ridiculous again, bash your head against a brick
wall a few hundred times, then read back the post. Wash, rince,
repeat.
I heard you can exorcise demons that way.
Oh, and
quit reading Slashdot. That helps too.
This is IMHO
totally inappropriate language.
Please, avoid
this.
