Yes.  Please don't throw out what we already have.

However, please keep in mind that the SGF is the Smart _Game_ Format, not the 
Smart Go Format.  The dan/kyu rating is only used in games like go, renju and 
so on.  (This is not a vote against, just remember not to damage other games 
in the process.)
