I don't think I can recommend it, unless

1. The license terms (GNU GPL) are acceptable for what you're doing.
2. You don't mind using the rest of the GNU Go internals as well.

While it does have some nice optimizations and features it's not
written to be stand-alone and it can't easily be broken out of its
environment.
