I just saw your email.   Yes, I have already posted a link.

I  ran both benchmarks,  using different  java systems  and GCC  on my
linux machine.

I don't remember the exact numbers,  but it was in the ballpark of 25%
slowdown for the fastest one.   The slowest might have been 1/3 slower
or something  on that order.  Nothing  near Vincents 3 to  1, not even
close to 2 to 1 which is pretty much what I was expecting.
