That's one thing that is going on for sure. Whenever I run a speed-test, the fan goes in overdrive. And I see an extra degradation in speed when the battery is low, although that I can address by staying connected. No more work in the garden then ;-)

It more sounds like a heat dissipation management. In this case nothing you can do, except putting your computer inside a refrigerator.
