So this is the position, black (X) to play.

   A B C D E F G H J
 9 . . . . . . . . . 9
 8 . . . . . . . . . 8
 7 . . + . . . + . . 7
 6 . . . . . . . . . 6
 5 . . . O O X X . . 5
 4 . . . . X O O . . 4
 3 . . O . X X + . . 3
 2 . . . . . . . . . 2
 1 . . . . . . . . . 1
   A B C D E F G H J

The current development version makes the same mistake, so I'll use
that instead of GNU Go 3.5.8, which played at the Olympiad. The
following moves are considered:

1. F6 27.19
2. F7 25.96
3. C7 22.97
4. G7 19.87
5. H7 13.53
6. G3 9.03
7. D2 6.16
8. H4 0.41

Basically F7 is considered territorially larger but F6 gets some
strategical bonus because it's believed to tactically capture the F4
stones, thereby reducing their aji (F4 is thought to be dead in the
life and death analysis).
