RE: [computer-go] how to have a computer go tournament?
I ran the computer go contests at the US Go congress for about 10 years. In
2000, I had an
unpleasant experience at a go congress (unrelated to computer go) and I have
not attended a
congress since then. I won't be running another computer go tournament at a
go congress.
The AGA is not very interested in computer go, so they haven't organized
anything since then.
In any case, I would not be attending a computer go event associated with a
US Go Congress.
Bob Myers and the Intelligent Go Foundation organized US events in 2001 and
2002. There will
be another one in 2004. This has replaced the competition at the go
congress in the US.

David
