RE: [computer-go] Changing the subject
I have two programs online right now.
Viking4 is a traditional (?) program with a very complicated pattern
based evaluation function. It also uses local life and death search. I
think it is possible to do that well, but it requires more programming
skil and time than I have. It is logged into the nngs clone at
boardspace.net 6969.
Viking5 is an experiment in monte carlo go. It works very well (right
now it is slow but will scale fine in the future) and is stronger than
viking4 on 9x9 although I started programming it half a year ago. You
can play it on KGS.
