Re: [computer-go] 9x9 Ratings
Christian,
This is awesome, thanks for setting this up!
A few questions.
How often will you update that page?
Also, I was wondering how much history you plan to include? The
nature of your formula (as I understand it) is such that the more
games a bot plays, the less impact recently played games will have on
it.
So for example if go81 plays 20000 games and then suddenly improves
due to some breakthrough, it would require a huge number of additional
games in order to budge the rating up even a little bit.
If it's too much work, we could create new players when we update our
programs, but this is rather tedious and confusing.
OR, you could track version numbers. KGS does ask the program for the
version number (I think), and so you could consider each version a
separate entity.

I have changed the rating calculations somewhat now. But instead of
spamming the results to this list all the time, I'll keep an updated
page at http://senseis.xmp.net/?KGSBotRatings
There were some changes to the ratings and hopefully this time it'll
be more accurate. :)
