I won't argue about the ugliness of SGF. Mea culpa. :-)  But at least the
move representation is an issue that can be addressed. SmartGo allows you to
read and write SGF with standard coordinates (A1 to T19), and I encourage
other SGF-reading programs to do the same. The following link has more
