[computer-go] search for collaboration
Hello!
I've been on this list for a while, and I see that many people are working
on their own program and own algorithm. Now, for my MSc thesis, I've
implemented a program and some minor algorithms, but for the PhD research, I
want to make the program-framework more sophisticated.
I'm searching for collaboration, with the following goals:
- open source or internal used code, it does not matter for me, just do it
in Java with proper design
- common functional implementation (rules, moves, scoring, GTP)
- parsing SGF files (from KGS or other sources, with end-game annotations)
- playing on KGS / human / other program
- plugabble algorithms
I will not want anyone collaborating to share his/her algorithm or great
idea with me, I just want to create a correct, easy to understand, easy to
use program, for later research. I have one working tool, and I want to
re-design anyway (without the time limit for the thesis I had before, and
with the experiences I have now). I've watched some open-source projects,
but at first I wanted to ask the audience of this list.
If you are interrested, I'm a PhD student in Hungary, Budapest University of
Technology and Economics, I have 13 years of programming, 11 months of
go-playing experience. If you have questions about me, or about the possible
ways of collaboration, please contact me.
Thanks for reading, best regars,
Istvan
