This is really interesting, I think. But there is one question
needed to answered: What is the difference between 'reasoning'
and 'intuition'? I suspect knowing this means knowing how to
make the program :)

In my opinion, there is no fundamental difference between the 
two, which makes me anser 'no' on your provocative question.
Not a better chance than anybody else, that is.

I don't know very much about AI, but I do know there has been
a change in perspective on what it means to be intelligent, 
which in my opinion ulimately comes down to performing good
optimization. A perfect solution is an intelligent solution,
and vice versa, and so the problem remains.

There are no shortcuts :)
