Re: Logic Beat Feeling?

There was a movement in psychology called "introspection" (Wilner?) in which one
attempted to discern ones own psychological components through introspection.
It isn't science, to be sure. In some sense, this is the same approach that is
often applied to 'expert systems', in which one creates representations of
thinking that one *guesses* are analogous or even identical to the what is
actually doing in thinking/feeling. My question to you is why do you care about
what he thinks about how he thinks/feels? After all, this method has not proven
fruitful in the past.

Secondly, just because he says "feeling" and you say "thinking", how do you know
you aren't actually talking about the same thing? He may not have the language
of a programmer, but he plays well enough.

This is really a false duality in my opinion. The game he is really playing is
one on you! 8-)
