away from the important part - building a good goprogram. Also, even if the
"super" computer would be incredibly fast today, by the time I'd get the
software to run on it (with all the inevitable compiler glitches, OS
problems, synchronization, and hardware surprises), so much time has passed
that I could as weel buy a top-level PC and get the same performance out of
it...
If I would go into parallel processing, my approach would be to buy lots of
cheap PC's, plug 100MHz net cards in them, and run it all on Linux.
But, as I said, before that I'd need to get my program to the point where
computation time is a limiting factor, and not my programming time. Still, I
find the discussion interesting...
