from http://www.hsc.fr/computer-go/:

I think this includes discussing nonstandard ways of constructing a Go
program :).

Seriously, this is a forum for the whole Computer Go community, and as such
can and should discuss all issues which are of concern for a substantial
number of people in this community. Of course the focus is on the technical
issues, but reports, annoncements, gossip, differences of opinion etc. do
belong here as well, imho. If you don't care about the "Bitmaps vs Lists"
thread or the number of legal Go positions, you delete it. If you don't
care about "plagiary", just delete it. If you want more technical
contributions, write them.

You may be concerned about computer-go going down in flame wars just as the
computer chess newsgroup did, but I'm quite confident this won't happen.
Keeping my fingers crossed :)
