Re: computer-go: Random move generation



I don't know anyone who is using a chess-like opening book
(well, maybe Poka :).  I do lookahead in the opening, using the
joseki database to suggest move sequences.  Usually the moves
get quite different values :)  I have randomness, but it is
there to make the game more interesting for the users.  I turn it
off during tournaments.
