There is no right or wrong operating system. Some are better at one thing, and some are
better at another. If you intend to sell your program, there is not really any choice other than
Windows. I suppose I could imagine someone who chose their go programming operating system because
it was easy to set up ethernet connections, but it seems a little odd :)

I don't think I said that setting up an ethernet conenection is difficult. Just that installing cards is more
difficult than connecting an RS-232 cable :) I didn't expect anyone to find that statement at all
controversial. Maybe I should have explicitly said that I was talking about Windows boxes, rather
than Sun workstations, but I thought the context was obvious.

I can't help the comment that your world-view (that setting up an
ethernet network is difficult) shows that you have been using the wrong
operating system for too long :)

But then so have most go programmers, I suppose..
