I've never seen a triple ko in computer-go competition, and Many Faces would play
on in triple ko until very recently.



This is necessary in Ing events, where the sponsor's rules say suicide
is to be allowed.  The evidence shows that the "fostering" is
ineffective.
In an early Ing tournament one of the weak programs deliberately suicided in every game and won several because the
other program couldn't accept suicide.
