No. I will play my games for 20 years or so, until I reach my first triple go 
or position I don't know. Then I will open the rule book and sort it out. If 
it is a friendly game, I will start a new game. If it is a tournament game, I 
will find the TD to adjudicate. 

If I'm writing a (non-commercial) computer go program, however, you won't get 
me to use Japanese rules no matter what..
