computer-go: AGA rules

Hi all,

I've asked this before but I've forgotten the answer.
Under AGA rules (as will be used in the 21C cup) can you
lose points thrashing around in the opponents territory
trying to live after the game would normally be considered 
over?

I don't have AGA rules as an option in my program but I 
want to know whether to set it to Chinese or Japanese.
