computer-go: 21st Century Cup in Edmonton

The 21st Century Cup computer Go competition in Edmonton started 
yesterday. After three rounds, Go4++ and Many Faces were undefeated. 
They met this morning in what might turn out to be the deciding game of 
the championship. Go4++ got the lead, but hung on greedily to two 
stones, which lead to the complete destruction of its center area. Many 
Faces won the game and leads with 4-0. Programs with a score of 3-1 are 
Go4++, Go Intellect and GNU Go, followed by a large group of programs 
with a 2-2 score. Many Faces plays Go Intellect next. Three more rounds 
will be played later today.
