All, I am currently prototyping and designing a peer to peer network for Go. It is very similar to a "broker" design were each end point spawns a broker and allows for local play but also remote play, remote viewing, remote help, rankings, user community history, User community searches for previously played games, or previously loaded sgf. "blah blah". My two questions are: 1) Has anyone heard of a project similar (given my vague description). This idea being very different to the client server model I know of. 2) I have started to wonder that when completed, if enough people like the model I have, it will allow for many many computers to connected for the purpose of GO. This vast resource could be used in a massively parallel AI (my research in this specific area is limited). Does anyone have any theories or experience in this area. Apologies upfront if this topic is often repeated by new members. Regards, ~Aaron
