Both GMP and GTP sound have advantages. GMP is convinient for any two PCs to connect at anytime, any place. GTP could be used by a tournament organizer. All PCs connect to the controller and play against each through the controller. The controller will have a clear picture and control of the whole tournament. For example, it's 7:00pm all the games have to be adjourned.

One suggestion that we build a permanent controller on the internet that's only for Go playing programs. It will be on 24/7 and record all the games. This way any Go program can logon anytime.
