Thanks for the info on Python, Ruby, and Perl. Besides the speed concern I really should use one of these languages instead of C/C++. Many people are reluctant to switch to other languages. I had the same concerns. Looking back we had AGOL, Pascal, prolog, LISP, Cobot, etc. Many of them just simply disappeared. C/C++ is a proven language. This could be one of the reasons.
