That is incorrect. You are comparing apples to camels.
The clock of a circuit is not its "speed".

What is inside the circuit is just as important as well.

FPGA's can contain massively parallel circuits.
I have seen FPGA's that ran with a tenth the clock of a CPU and they were
1000 times faster than the CPU.
