Re: [computer-go] Re: Sharing Secrets

In my opinion there has always been a fair share of exchange of ideas in the
computer-go community. Claiming that the people who make money with their
program don't share their ideas is simply false.
I did not claim that. Some people do, some don't.
Mick Reiss for example is very closed-mouthed.

This I think I can say with some authority. I didn't make a million USD with
my program, but well over half that amount in the years I did go-programming
for a living. And I've always shared lots of ideas. I think David can
confirm.
Not neccessary.
I have read everything you have ever written on the comp. Go list and I am very impressed. I would vote you in the top3 contributors and I tend to agree with all your "extremist" POV's ever voiced here :)

else. Some years ago I published a library with some of my most important
'trade-secrets' with the intention of publishing more later.
Absolutely great!
This means that my fishing for ideas bore fruit.
Could you please send me that library?
I promise I won't say it "doesn't work".
Neither will I use the source directly, as I work in Pascal.

But don't come here saying people don't share their knowledge. I'd say,
don't waste my time
You are free to not read my posts.

and start sharing your own ideas if you think that's
important.
You have not read my posts well.
I *have* just shared a few ideas.
