I couldn't have replied better myself :)
It will probably be only a few years until even chess-programmers will use
Java, simply because Microsoft will force it down their throats. I'm of the
opinion of course that C# IS Java, just named differently for political
reasons. You might just as well start now, while you're still young and it's
easy to switch to a new language :)
For someone like Vincent, who believes Moore's law will continue some
decades longer, disregarding a language so lightly just because it's
performance is just a few 'Moore months' behind seems a little strange.
