It seems that when human s learn go, they always learn new tricks or
techniques, and when a bit stronger, learn why not to use them :-)
I remember when I was somewhere around 9 kyu, I benefitted immensely
from learning how to simplify things, avoid complications, and just plod
along. Especially when taking a handicap from the stronger players. At
some point later, I saw that when giving a handicap, I had to do exactly
the opposite, create complications and leave things open. Even later I
learned something about balancing those two approaches...
I am not saying that this is the way computer go should go, just
noting an observation.
