Yes that mistake i realized later too. I initially intended to blitz
against it but it is very busy here now in Netherlands.

Yesterday it was Santa Claus (a day we give gifts to others in Netherlands,
even more than with christmas).

I will do that in next games. again i realized how long 1 go game takes :)

I get impression it has problems (like of course all go software) with
global search isn't it?

I find its positional play mega stronger than the go software i tried a
year ago at world champs 2003. I played a few games against Many Faces, but
undoubtfully that became stronger too. That probably has to do with the
much better evaluation functions from the past. If i may ask what is your
own go strength positional?

Note i completely still disagree with the assumption that 30 ply search is
needed to play the game at a professional level.

It makes a mistake of 1 ply in human terms and to carry out threat another
2 ply, so that's 3 in total.

A 3 ply global search would be killing me completely.

Suppose they would get 10 ply in global search with a lot of selective
extensions. That will really form problems for professional players.

Of course beating 1 such player is not equal to being at their *strength*
in positional terms.
