This has got me thinking about a commercial Go API. What I mean is a
set of DLLs that provide all kinds of various Go-centric
functionallity. Has this ever been tried by any of the commercial Go
programmers out there? The only downside I can see is that someone
else could easily write a wrapper and enter it in tournaments as if it
were homegrown. But that should not concern someone with commercial
interests. I know GnuGo provides many functions through the GTP
interface, but that is not a traditional API and it's also not of
commercial strength.
