Re: [computer-go] Computer Go Server

For a small server (just a few people), just a static IP address on a
DSL/cablemodem at your home should be fine. That's what KGS ran on for
its first 6 months, and I still use that when I do beta testing. A go
server with a small number (under 50) of players at once uses so little
bandwidth, paying for hosting isn't needed.

The only big drawback of doing it at home is that if you forget and
download a huge file or turn on a file sharing program, then everybody
connected will get huge netlag until you are done.
