The idea that Go is a fractal doesn't seems useful to exactly the
extent that it provides useful techniques or analogies.  The most
obvious is the idea of the generating equation, but we already know
that -- it's the rules of the game.  So unless there's a differing
interpretation, or some other way to use the analogy, I don't see that
it has much to offer.

That said, if people want to explore that idea in search of insight, I
say we should shut up and let them talk -- who knows, something useful
might come of it, and if it did it might have a lot to add.  I don't
think it's likely, but it might happen.
